The Royal Society has recently announced the new Fellows for 2005 and we are delighted to report that Professor Anthony Pearson has been made a Fellow.
Anthony is very well known within the rheology and polymer processing community and he is a past recipient of the BSR Gold medal. He has also obtained many other awards particularly in the USA. Anthony has had a deep lifelong involvement with rheology and industrial processing problems and he is continuing this interest as a consultant to Schlumberger, working mainly at the SCR laboratory in Cambridge. The BSR has done particularly well from members securing an FRS, and this includes members such as Prof Ken Walters, Sir Sam Edwards and Prof John Hinch.
